Qualifying events allow you to enroll in or change health plans
Certain life changes may qualify you for a Special Enrollment Period, where you can apply for marketplace health coverage or change your current marketplace coverage. These life changes are known as qualifying events, and they can happen at any time outside of the annual open enrollment period (usually November-January).
